# Create an Address Document Verification attempt

`POST /v2/address-document-verifications/{address_document_verification_id}/attempts`

This endpoint allows you to create an Address Document Verification attempt. It is possible when the Address Document Verification is one of the following statuses: `created`, `retry_required`

## Path parameters

- `address_document_verification_id` string, required

## Request body `multipart/form-data`

- AddressDocumentVerificationAttemptInputPost
  - `document` string, binary

## Response `201`

Address Document Verification attempt created

- AddressDocumentVerificationAttemptOutputPost
  - `created_on` string, date-time, required: UTC Date time when the resource was created
  - `modified_on` string, date-time, required: UTC Date time when the resource was modified

## Other responses

- `403`: The uploaded file was rejected by our file security checks
- `404`: The provided Address Document Verification ID is not valid
- `409`: The Address Document Verification is not in a valid state to create an attempt. The Address Document Verification status must be `created` or `retry_required`
- `500`: An error occurred while creating the attempt
