# Delete this workspace and everything in it

`DELETE /v1/tenant`

## Request

## Request body

- AdmitTenantDeletion
  - `confirm_name` string, required
  - `fingerprint` string, required

## Response `202`

Deletion is admitted and the workspace refuses new work from this moment. The drain runs in the background; poll status_url, which stays readable after the workspace itself is gone.

  - `operation_id` string, uuid, required
  - `root_kind` 'tenant' | 'account', required
  - `state` 'requested' | 'complete' | 'poisoned' | 'abandoned', required
  - `status_url` string, required

## Other responses

- `400`: The workspace name confirmation does not match, or the fingerprint is malformed.
- `401`: Authentication required.
- `412`: The workspace inventory changed since the preview; re-read it and confirm again.
- `428`: No fingerprint was sent. Read GET /v1/tenant/deletion first and confirm with the fingerprint it returns.
- `default`: An error occurred (RFC 9457 problem+json).
