# List Voices

`GET /v3/voices`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.typecast.ai`
- URL: `https://api.typecast.ai/v3/voices`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-KEY`

Lists the built-in voices and completed custom voices available for use with any endpoint that accepts a `voice_id`. Custom voices appear first. Each `voice_name` is keyed by ISO 639-3 language codes such as `eng` and `kor`.

Use the optional filters together to narrow the catalog by model, gender, age group, use case, or voice type. `preview_url` is `null` when a preview is unavailable, including custom voices.

## Query parameters

- `model` 'ssfm-v30' | 'ssfm-v21': TTS model version to use for speech synthesis. Different models offer varying capabilities and quality levels. Available models: - **ssfm-v30**: Latest model with improved prosody and additional emotion presets (recommended) - **ssfm-v21**: Stable production model with proven reliability and consistent quality
- `gender` 'male' | 'female': Gender classification enum - Converts database values (Korean) to API values (English). Available values: - **male**: Male voice - **female**: Female voice
- `age` 'child' | 'teenager' | 'young_adult' | 'middle_age' | 'elder': Age group classification enum - Converts database values (Korean) to API values (English). Available values: - **child**: Child voice (under 12 years old) - **teenager**: Teenage voice (13-19 years old) - **young_adult**: Young adult voice (20-35 years old) - **middle_age**: Middle-aged voice (36-60 years old) - **elder**: Elder voice (over 60 years old)
- `use_cases` string: Filter by a use-case keyword, such as `Ads`.
- `voice_type` 'original' | 'custom': Voice type classification. - `original` — Typecast-provided stock voices available to every account. - `custom` — Voices the user created by uploading or cloning their own sample.

    - `emotions` string[], required: List of supported emotions for this model
  - `voice_id` string, required: Unique voice identifier. Built-in voices use the `tc_` prefix and custom voices use the `uc_` prefix.
  - `use_cases` string[]: Recommended use-case categories.
  - `voice_name` VoiceName, required: Localized voice names keyed by ISO 639-3 language code.
    - `eng` string, required: English voice name.
    - `kor` string, required: Korean voice name.
  - `voice_type` 'original' | 'custom', required: Voice type classification. - `original` — Typecast-provided stock voices available to every account. - `custom` — Voices the user created by uploading or cloning their own sample.
  - `preview_url` string, nullable: Preview audio URL when available.

## Other responses

- `401`: Authentication failed
- `422`: Validation Error - Invalid query parameter
