# DM Inbox

`GET /dm/list`

## Request

List the DM conversations (inbox) for the account behind your session. Returns each conversation's ID, type, and participant user IDs. Pass a conversation_id to GET /dm/conversation to read its messages. Authenticate with a registered session (POST /customer/session) or per-call x-auth-token and x-ct0 headers, so one API key can poll the inboxes of many accounts. Read-only: this does not send DMs. It reads X's standard DM inbox, so conversations X has moved to end-to-end encrypted chat may not appear, and conversations still in the message-requests folder may be missing. Cost: $0.0016 per call.

## Response `200`

List the Direct Message conversations for your registered account.

- object
  - `count` integer: Number of conversations returned.
  - `conversations` DMConversation[]: Conversation entries, each with conversation_id, type (for example ONE_TO_ONE or GROUP_DM, may be null), and participants (numeric user-ID strings).
    - `conversation_id` string: Conversation ID; pass to the DM conversation endpoint to read messages.
    - `type` string, nullable: Conversation type, for example ONE_TO_ONE or GROUP_DM; may be null.
    - `participants` string[]: Numeric user IDs of the participants.
  - `inbox_timelines` object: Per-timeline pagination metadata keyed by timeline name (for example trusted and untrusted), each an object with status (X's timeline status string, may be null) and cursor (the pagination cursor for that timeline, may be null). May be an empty object.
