# Latest filing

`GET /v1/filings/latest`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.turos.app`
- URL: `https://api.turos.app/v1/filings/latest`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `x-api-key`
  - HTTP bearer

Returns the newest indexed filing for one issuer, and optionally one SEC form, with filing identity, date, accession number, and provenance. Without `form`, the newest record may be any filing type, such as a Form 4 or 8-K; retain the returned accession number for an immutable follow-up.

## Response `200`

Successful latest-filing response. Default returns the filing manifest, compact returns the compact filing identity plus requestId, and view=agent returns the runtime agent filing record with lifted filingUrl.

    - `freshness` FreshnessMetadata: Freshness of the record. For SEC filings, freshness measures the delay between SEC acceptance (`sourcePublishedAt`) and when the record became available in the API — not the age of the document. Statuses: `current` (recently published and available promptly), `archival` (an immutable historical document held in full; its availability delay is not a freshness signal), `degraded`/`stale` (a recently published filing that became available later than the freshness thresholds allow), `fresh` (continuously refreshed datasets recently observed at source), `unknown` (no timestamps). An old immutable filing is never `stale` simply because it was published long ago. `lagMs` is the publish-to-availability delay in milliseconds.

## Other responses

- `400`: Missing or conflicting issuer selector, invalid year selector, or invalid response view.
- `404`: The issuer/form/time slice could not resolve to a filing (filing_not_found).
- `default`: Contract-aware error response
