# Download artifact

`GET /v1/artifacts/{artifact_id}/download`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.turos.app`
- URL: `https://api.turos.app/v1/artifacts/{artifact_id}/download`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `x-api-key`
  - HTTP bearer

Returns the saved payload directly when it is stored inline. When the payload is held in object storage, the response is a `302` redirect to a short-lived signed URL, so your client must follow redirects. Retain the artifact ID and manifest checksum alongside downloaded content.

## Path parameters

- `artifact_id` string, required

## Response `200`

Locally stored artifact payload.

## Other responses

- `302`: Redirect to a signed R2 download URL for an externally stored artifact.
- `default`: Contract-aware error response
