# Unlink device from member

`PATCH /v1/people/{id}/unlink-device`

Resets the fleetDmLabelId for a member, effectively unlinking their device from FleetDM. This will disconnect the device from the organization.

  - `fleetDmLabelId` object, nullable, required — FleetDM label ID for member devices

    - `status` 'invited' | 'in_progress' | 'in_review' | 'completed' | 'completed_with_flags' | 'failed' | 'cancelled', required — Background check status
