# Run a photo-indexing batch now

`POST /api/photos/index`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://trvlrr.app`
- URL: `https://trvlrr.app/api/photos/index`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Uploads kick off indexing on their own; this runs a batch on demand (up to 25 photos). Skipped when photo AI is off for the account.

## Query parameters

- `limit` integer, nullable: Photos to index, up to 25 (default 10).

## Response `200`

What the batch did.

- PhotoIndexResult
  - `indexed` integer
  - `remaining` integer
  - `errors` unknown[]
    - unknown
  - `skipped` boolean: true when photo AI is off for the account.
  - `error` string

## Other responses

- `401`: No usable credential: a Clerk session token, a device token or an OAuth access token is required.
- `403`: The caller may not do this to this account or trip.
