# Set a person's avatar

`POST /api/people/{id}/avatar`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://trvlrr.app`

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Raw image bytes in the body; the Content-Type header decides the stored type (JPEG unless it says png or heic).

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required: The id.

## Response `201`

Stored.

- PersonAvatarState
  - `id` string, required
  - `has_avatar` integer, required: 0 or 1.
  - `avatar_updated_at` string, nullable, required

## Other responses

- `400`: The request is malformed or fails validation.
- `401`: No usable credential: a Clerk session token, a device token or an OAuth access token is required.
- `403`: The caller may not do this to this account or trip.
- `404`: No such thing, or not one the caller can see.
- `413`: The upload is too large.
