# Remove a member from the account

`POST /api/members/remove`

## Request

- URL: `https://trvlrr.app/api/members/remove`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Owner only. What they added stays with the account; they leave with a fresh, empty account of their own.

## Request body

- object
  - `user_id` string, required: A member's user id.

## Response `200`

Removed.

- Ok
  - `ok` boolean, required

## Other responses

- `400`: The request is malformed or fails validation.
- `401`: No usable credential: a Clerk session token, a device token or an OAuth access token is required.
- `403`: The caller may not do this to this account or trip.
- `404`: No such thing, or not one the caller can see.
