# Read a booking email into the log

`POST /api/inbound-email`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://trvlrr.app`
- URL: `https://trvlrr.app/api/inbound-email`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

The same parser the forwarding address uses, called with the email as text. Bookings become segments, stays, activities and expenses on a matching trip (or a new one); cancellations flag items for review. Uses an AI assist.

## Request body

- InboundEmail
  - `from` string
  - `subject` string
  - `date` string: When it was sent.
  - `text` string, required: The email as text.

## Response `200`

Not a booking; nothing recorded.

- Ignored
  - `ignored` true, required
  - `summary` string

## Other responses

- `201`: What was recorded.
- `400`: The request is malformed or fails validation.
- `401`: No usable credential: a Clerk session token, a device token or an OAuth access token is required.
- `402`: Trvlrr Plus is required, or this month's AI allowance is used up.
- `403`: The caller may not do this to this account or trip.
- `422`: The input was understood but could not be acted on.
- `501`: The feature is not configured on this deployment.
