# Copy a trip item into the master list

`POST /api/checklist/master/promote`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://trvlrr.app`
- URL: `https://trvlrr.app/api/checklist/master/promote`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

So it is packed every time. A duplicate (same text) is a no-op.

## Request body

- PromoteRequest
  - `item_id` string, required: A trip checklist item to copy into the master list.

## Response `200`

Promoted, or already there.

- Ok
  - `ok` boolean, required

## Other responses

- `400`: The request is malformed or fails validation.
- `401`: No usable credential: a Clerk session token, a device token or an OAuth access token is required.
- `402`: Trvlrr Plus is required, or this month's AI allowance is used up.
- `403`: The caller may not do this to this account or trip.
- `404`: No such thing, or not one the caller can see.
