# Update a packing item

`PATCH /api/checklist/{itemId}`

## Request

Tick it, reword it, move it to another section or assign it to someone.

## Path parameters

- `itemId` string, required: The item id.

## Request body

- ChecklistItemPatch
  - `done` boolean: Packed.
  - `text` string: The item.
  - `section` 'documents' | 'clothing' | 'tech' | 'health' | 'other': documents, clothing, tech, health or other.
  - `person_id` string, nullable: Who it is for.
  - `remind_on` string, nullable: A day to be reminded about it. Date, YYYY-MM-DD. null clears it.
  - `remind_time` string, nullable: Time of day for the reminder, "HH:MM" local; empty means 09:00.

## Response `200`

Updated.

## Other responses

- `400`: The request is malformed or fails validation.
- `401`: No usable credential: a Clerk session token, a device token or an OAuth access token is required.
- `402`: Trvlrr Plus is required, or this month's AI allowance is used up.
- `403`: The caller may not do this to this account or trip.
- `404`: No such thing, or not one the caller can see.
