# Photo AI and face storage switches

`PATCH /api/account/settings`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://trvlrr.app`

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Turning photo AI off stops captioning and indexing; turning faces off refuses the face routes. Existing data is cleared with the DELETE routes.

## Request body

- AccountSettingsInput
  - `photo_ai` union: Let AI caption and index photos.
    - boolean
    - 0
    - 1
  - `faces` union: Store face data for people recognition.
    - boolean
    - 0
    - 1

## Response `200`

The settings now.

- AccountSettings
  - `photo_ai` integer, required: 0 or 1.
  - `faces` integer, required: 0 or 1.

## Other responses

- `400`: The request is malformed or fails validation.
- `401`: No usable credential: a Clerk session token, a device token or an OAuth access token is required.
- `403`: The caller may not do this to this account or trip.
