# Retrieve tax document

`GET /v1/links/{link_id}/tax/{tax_id}/`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://prod.truv.com`
- URL: `https://prod.truv.com/v1/links/{link_id}/tax/{tax_id}/`
- Auth: API key in header `X-Access-Client-Id` and API key in header `X-Access-Secret`

The endpoint returns a tax document.

## Response `200`

- TaxDocumentRetrieve
  - `id` string: Tax document ID
  - `document_type` 'W2' | 'F1099' | 'F1040', required: Tax document type
  - `document_subtype` 'F1099_B' | 'F1099_DIV' | 'F1099_G' | 'F1099_INT' | 'F1099_K' | 'F1099_MISC' | 'F1099_NEC' | 'F1099_R' | 'F_SSA1099' | 'null', nullable: Tax document subtype
  - `file` string, uri, nullable: Tax document file link
  - `md5sum` string, nullable: Tax document md5sum
  - `year` integer, nullable: Tax document year
  - `fields` object, nullable: Tax document fields. Set of fields depends on the document type and subtype.

## Other responses

- `401`: HTTP 401 Unauthorized
- `403`: HTTP 403 Forbidden
