# Submit content for evidence research (SSE stream)

`POST /api/v1/checks/stream`

## Request

Submit a URL or text for evidence research. Returns an SSE stream of
pipeline progress events.

**Input types:** `url` (article analysis), `text` (direct claim or question).

Deep Research pipeline: extract claims → retrieve evidence → decompose
into elements → map evidence with relationship labels (typically 60-120s).

**SSE events emitted:**
- `progress` — stage name, percentage, time estimate
- `awaiting_selection` — article mode: claims extracted, awaiting user selection
- `completed` — pipeline finished, check ID in payload
- `error` — pipeline failed

For URL inputs with multiple claims, the pipeline pauses after extraction.
Call `PATCH /checks/{id}/select-claims` to resume with chosen claims.

**Rate limit:** 10/minute

- `token` string, nullable

## Request body

- CreateCheckRequest: Submit content for evidence research.
  - `input_type` string, required: Input type: 'url' (article analysis), 'text' (direct claim), 'image' (OCR), or 'video' (transcript)
  - `content` string, nullable: Claim text (required when input_type is 'text'). Supports both statements and questions. Capped at 10,000 chars to prevent DoS via oversized inputs.
  - `url` string, nullable: URL to analyse (required when input_type is 'url' or 'video'). HTTPS prefix is added automatically if omitted.
  - `file_path` string, nullable: Server path for uploaded images (use POST /upload first)
  - `user_query` string, nullable: Optional Search Clarity question (max 200 chars). When provided, the pipeline generates a focused answer alongside the evidence landscape.
  - `frozen_evidence` object, nullable: Pre-supplied evidence for replay testing (internal use only)
