# Replace the files of a private plugin

`PUT /api/plugin_settings/{plugin_setting_id}/files`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

The same files uploadPluginSettingArchive takes zipped, as text by filename. settings.yml is required; a markup file left out keeps its current content.

Persists a settings-only import, with no markup file to save through

    - `settings_yaml` string: YAML settings file

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized
- `404`: Plugin setting belongs to another user
- `422`: settings.yml missing or malformed
