# Report Review

`POST /locations/{id}/reviews/{reviewId}/report`

## Request

Reports an existing review as inappropriate.

 <p>The report goes to moderation. This endpoint returns without waiting for the outcome.
 Reporting the same review twice files two reports.

 <p><code>404</code> means you are not licensed to access the Location. If the review does not
 belong to the Location, does not exist, or cannot be reported, the call returns
 <code>400 Bad Request</code> and <code>detail</code> says why.

## Request body

- ReviewReport: A business owner's report against an existing Tripadvisor review of their Location.
  - `comment` string: Free-text detail for the moderators who review the report. Optional for every reason, <code>OTHER</code> included.
  - `reason` 'DUPLICATE_REVIEW' | 'WRONG_LOCATION' | 'OTHER' | 'WRITTEN_BY_COMPETITOR' | 'INAPPROPRIATE' | 'NOT_ORIGINAL_REVIEW' | 'NOT_TRAVELERS_OWN' | 'PROMOTIONAL' | 'REVIEW_NOT_CONSISTENT_WITH_RATING' | 'MORE_THAN_1_YEAR_AGO' | 'CONTAINS_PRIVATE_INFO' | 'PROMOTES_ILLEGAL_ACTIVITY', required: Why a listing owner is reporting a review as inappropriate.
  - `suggested_location_id` integer: The ID of the Location the owner believes the review belongs to. The API reads it only when the reason is <code>WRONG_LOCATION</code> and ignores it otherwise.

## Response `201`

Report filed for moderation

- ReviewReportResult: The result of reporting a review.
  - `location_id` integer, required
  - `report_id` integer, required: The Tripadvisor ID of the filed report. Quote it if you contact Tripadvisor about the report. The API has no endpoint to read back or withdraw a report.
  - `review_id` integer, required

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Your API key does not have access to this endpoint, or the member is not a verified owner of the Location
- `404`: You are not licensed to access the Location
- `429`: Too Many Requests
- `500`: Internal Server Error
