# set repository metadata

`POST /repositories/{repository}/metadata`

Set repository metadata. This will only add or update the provided keys, and will not remove any existing keys.

## Request body

- RepositoryMetadataSet
  - `metadata` object, required

## Response `204`

repository metadata set successfully

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad Request
- `401` — Unauthorized
- `404` — Resource Not Found
- `429` — too many requests
- `default` — Internal Server Error
