# Delete a comment

`DELETE /api/comments/{commentId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://tre-app.com`
- URL: `https://tre-app.com/api/comments/{commentId}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

The author, or an owner or admin of the board's workspace for anyone's comment (both need editor access to the board). A `system` comment is only theirs to delete — its attributed author is refused with 403.

- `403`: Forbidden: insufficient role or token scope; scope denials name the held scope and the operation
