# Move a card to the trash

`DELETE /api/cards/{cardId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://tre-app.com`
- URL: `https://tre-app.com/api/cards/{cardId}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

The card, its cardKey, checklist, comments and description history stay for 30 days. Live reads answer 404. Restore with POST /api/cards/{cardId}/restore. A second delete is a no-op.
