# Read a conversation

`GET /api/v1/messages/{userId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://traydstar.com`
- URL: `https://traydstar.com/api/v1/messages/{userId}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Scope: read. Messages with one Trayder, oldest first; marks the ones you received as read. Poll for new messages with ?after=<created_at of the last message you have>.

## Path parameters

- `userId` string, uuid, required

## Query parameters

- `after` string, date-time
- `limit` integer

## Response `200`

{ conversation_id, with_user, messages: [{ id, mine, sent_by_agent, listing_id, content, read, created_at }] }

## Other responses

- `404`: User not found.
- `default`: Error.
