# Get Alert

`POST /incident-io/alert`

Fetch a single alert by ID.

Args:
    request: Contains alert_id.
    user: Authenticated user — supplies ``organization_id``.

Returns:
    Upstream JSON containing the ``alert`` object.

## Request body

- GetAlertRequest: Request to fetch a single alert by ID. Used when an incident references an alert (e.g. from a firing alert source) and the frontend needs the full alert details (source_url, attributes, etc.).
  - `alert_id` string, required
