# Create Private Chat

`POST /worker/{worker_id}/private-chats`

Open a new private chat on this worker with its first message.

The path's ``worker_id`` is the parent; the response's ``worker_id`` is the chat.
Sends into the chat named by ``chat_id``, opening it if needed: a retry with the same
``message_id`` dedupes, while a new ``message_id`` is a second message in that chat.
Later messages go through ``POST /worker/{worker_id}/messages`` with the returned
``worker_id``.

- `worker_id` string, required

## Request body

- CreatePrivateChatRequest — Opens a new private chat on a parent worker with its first message.

  - `message_id` string, uuid, required
  - `message` string, required

## Response `201`

Successful Response

- CreatePrivateChatResponse — The created chat, addressed by its own worker id from here on.
  - `worker_id` string, required
  - `message_id` string, required
