# Queue one raw SMS or MMS under current account and key authority

`POST /v2/send-raw`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.tracklysms.com/api`
- URL: `https://api.tracklysms.com/api/v2/send-raw`
- Auth: API key in header `X-Api-Key`

## Request body

- SendRawRequest
  - `body` string: Required for SMS; optional MMS caption, at most 4096 characters
  - `list_number` string, required: Sending list phone number (E.164 format)
  - `media` MMSMedia[]: Nonempty attachments array selects MMS; media and subject metadata may total at most 512 KiB
    - `content_id` string: Optional unique ASCII attachment content identifier
    - `content_type` string: Optional MIME type
    - `url` string, required: Public HTTPS media URL
  - `metadata` object: Optional metadata dict
  - `skip_contact_validation` boolean: Skip contact validation
  - `skip_duplicate_check` boolean: Skip duplicate message check
  - `skip_journey_check` boolean: Skip journey enrollment check
  - `skip_rate_limit` boolean: Skip rate limiting
  - `subject` string: Optional MMS subject; requires media
  - `to` string, required: Recipient phone number (E.164 format)

## Response `201`

Message queued

- SendRawResponse
  - `message_id` string: Opaque, variable-length message identifier
  - `message_type` string: mms for an MMS request; omitted for SMS
  - `status` string: Message status
  - `success` boolean: Operation success

## Other responses

- `400`: Validation error
- `401`: Authentication error
- `403`: Account or API key send policy forbids this request
- `429`: API key daily send policy cap exceeded
- `502`: Queue publish failure
- `503`: API key send policy or number authority unavailable, or message-id allocation exhausted
