# Add an email address to the suppression list

`POST /v2/email/suppressions`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.tracklysms.com/api`
- URL: `https://api.tracklysms.com/api/v2/email/suppressions`
- Auth: API key in header `X-Api-Key`

The email is stored as a SHA-256 hash. Future sends to this
address will be blocked.

## Request body

- EmailSuppressionAddRequest
  - `email` string, required: Email address to suppress
  - `reason` string: Suppression reason (manual, bounce, complaint, unsubscribe)

## Response `201`

Email suppressed

- EmailSuppressionResponse
  - `createdAt` string, date-time: When the email was suppressed
  - `emailHash` string: SHA-256 hash of the email
  - `reason` string: Suppression reason

## Other responses

- `400`: Validation error
- `401`: Authentication error
- `409`: Already suppressed
