# Correct a business profile

`PATCH /v2/business-profiles/{profile_id}`

## Request

Meaningful normalized identity changes require verification.
Cosmetic edits preserve evidence; explicit canonical-name confirmation starts a new revision. Requires a live key.

## Request body

- BusinessProfileWrite
  - `addressCity` string: City
  - `addressCountry` string: ISO 3166-1 country (alpha-2, alpha-3, or name)
  - `addressPostalCode` string: Postal code
  - `addressState` string: State/region (coerced to a 2-letter code where applicable)
  - `addressStreet` string: Street
  - `brandName` string: Brand name
  - `businessContactFirstName` string: Authorized contact first name
  - `businessContactLastName` string: Authorized contact last name
  - `businessRelationship` 'account_business' | 'client_business'
  - `companyLegalName` string: Registered legal entity name (as on IRS/registry records)
  - `confirmed` boolean: Explicit confirmation when establishing an existing business relationship.
  - `contactEmail` string: Business contact email
  - `expectedIdentityRevision` integer: Required for canonical-name confirmation and existing-business confirmation.
  - `identifierType` string: Type of value in taxId (e.g. ein, cbn, neq, provincial_number, registration_number). Auto-defaulted for countries with exactly one legal value; CA requires an explicit choice.
  - `industry` string: Industry / vertical
  - `name` string, required: Profile label (required on create). Max 100 chars.
  - `taxId` string: EIN/TIN — validated against the address country
  - `websiteUrl` string: Business website URL
