# How to register and which identifiers/data carriers to use.

`GET /api/v1/regulatory/registry-guidance`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.tracepass.eu`
- URL: `https://app.tracepass.eu/api/v1/regulatory/registry-guidance`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - OAuth 2 (authorization code, authorization URL `https://app.tracepass.eu/api/oauth/authorize`, token URL `https://app.tracepass.eu/api/oauth/token`, scopes: `regulatory:read`)
  - OAuth 2 (authorization code, authorization URL `https://app.tracepass.eu/api/oauth/authorize`, token URL `https://app.tracepass.eu/api/oauth/token`, scopes: `passports:read`)

Returns guidance on DPP registry registration, identifier schemes
(GTIN, serial, GS1 Digital Link), data carrier requirements (QR
code, NFC, RFID), and where a passport is actually created for a
given topic.

Auth: Bearer API key OR OAuth with `regulatory:read` OR
`passports:read`. Counts as one scope answer.

Registry guidance for the requested topic.

  - `guidance` string, required: Plain-language guidance text in the requested locale, including relevant article and annex references.

## Other responses

- `400`: Missing or invalid `topic`. `allowed` lists valid values.
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `403`: Account not eligible (OAuth + `X-Source: assistant` only).
- `429`: Daily scope-answer cap reached.
- `503`: Regulatory data temporarily unavailable.
