# Save Github App Credentials

`POST /organization/vcs/github/credentials`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://platform.tracecat.com/api`

- Auth: one of:
  - API key in cookie `fastapiusersauth`
  - HTTP bearer

Save GitHub App credentials (register new or update existing).

## Request body

- GitHubAppCredentialsRequest: Request to register or update GitHub App credentials.
  - `app_id` string, required: GitHub App ID
  - `private_key` string, password, required: GitHub App private key in PEM format
  - `webhook_secret` string, password, nullable: GitHub App webhook secret
  - `client_id` string, nullable: GitHub App client ID

## Response `201`

Successful Response

- GitHubAppCredentialsSaveResponse: Response after creating or updating GitHub App credentials.

  - `action` 'created' | 'updated', required
