# Get Properties Summary

`GET /properties/summary`

Aggregate counts of visible properties used by the ``/holiday-parks``
landing page (header total + state-card grid).

The payload is a few hundred bytes, which lets the page render the
hero count and state cards without fetching the multi-MB
``/properties/json`` payload SSR-side.

Caching: this dataset only changes when an admin edits a property,
so we cache the encoded payload in Redis for an hour and advertise
the same TTL to shared caches (Cloudflare). Browsers get a shorter
`max-age` so a stale tab heals quickly without a full reload.
