# List trip categories with live park counts

`GET /categories`

## Request

Return every defined trip category with slug, label, kind, count.

The counts are cached in Redis for 24 h and refreshed by a
Celery beat task + the embedding backfill. A Redis miss triggers a
synchronous recomputation over the current category set.

## Query parameters

- `country` 'AU' | 'NZ': ISO country code used to scope public property inventory.
