# Rename Mfa Method

`PATCH /auth/mfa/methods/{method_id}`

## Request

Rename an active MFA method.

Label-only edit — purely cosmetic so we don't gate on a password
re-auth. 409 on collision with another active method on the same
user; the user picked the new label deliberately so we surface
the clash rather than auto-suffixing.
