# Upload file (up to 3MB)

`POST /files/upload`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.toriihq.com/v1.0`
- URL: `https://api.toriihq.com/v1.0/files/upload`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

This API allows to upload small files (up to 3MB). To upload larger files, see the `GET /files/url` endpoint.  
  
Supported files: .csv, .xls, .xlsx, .pdf, .doc, .docx, .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .xml, .json, .zip, .txt, .md, .tsv, .webp, .heic, .html, .htm.

*   Rate limit: 200 requests per minute

## Request body `multipart/form-data`

- object
  - `file` string, binary, required: File up to 3MB
  - `type` 'attachment' | 'expenseReport' | 'customIntegrationData' | 'plugin' | 'chatAttachment' | 'aiChatFile', required: File type

## Response `200`

File ID

- FileId: File ID
  - `id` integer: Unique file identifier
