# PDF split

`POST /api/v1/render/pdf-split`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://toolforte.com`
- URL: `https://toolforte.com/api/v1/render/pdf-split`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - none

Extract a 1-indexed, inclusive page range from a PDF (public URL, max 10MB) into a new PDF. 'to' defaults to the last page. Returns a hosted download URL valid for 24 hours. Same metering as the other render endpoints.

## Request body

- object
  - `url` string, required: Public URL of the source PDF
  - `from` integer, required: First page to keep (1-indexed)
  - `to` integer: Last page to keep (1-indexed, inclusive). Defaults to the last page.

## Response `200`

Hosted split PDF download URL

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid, private, unreadable, or out-of-range input
- `429`: Render limit reached
- `502`: Split failed
