# Image convert

`POST /api/v1/render/image-convert`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://toolforte.com`
- URL: `https://toolforte.com/api/v1/render/image-convert`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - none

Convert an image (public URL, max 15MB) to another format (png, jpeg, bmp, gif, tiff), pixels unchanged. Returns a hosted download URL valid for 24 hours. Same metering as the other render endpoints.

## Request body

- object
  - `url` string, required: Public URL of the source image
  - `format` 'png' | 'jpeg' | 'bmp' | 'gif' | 'tiff', required: Target image format

## Response `200`

Hosted converted image download URL

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid, private, or unreadable input
- `429`: Render limit reached
- `502`: Convert failed
