# Record that a Pupil has no Mobile

`POST /Students/ContactExemptions`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.tonbridge.school`
- URL: `https://api.tonbridge.school/Students/ContactExemptions`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

**Requires permissions:** *Admin* or *Housemaster* or *Matron* or *SeniorStudent*

Releases a pupil from the verified-mobile sign-in step. House staff may record it for their own house, an Admin for any. There is deliberately no pupil-facing equivalent: possession of a phone is proved by the SMS code, absence cannot be, so this is an assertion by somebody who can check it. It lapses at the end of the academic year.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request - Validation failed
