# Read a /record link

`GET /api/recordings/session`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://www.toma.com`
- URL: `https://www.toma.com/api/recordings/session`
- Auth: none required

For the /record page. Send the link's token in the x-recording-token header. Returns the poster's name, the draft's "what needs doing", and the limits.

## Response `200`

The link is valid.

- object
  - `poster` string: The name of the member who asked for it.
  - `need` string, nullable
  - `expiresAt` string, date-time
  - `recordingsLeft` integer
  - `limits` object

## Other responses

- `401`: The link is invalid, expired, or replaced, or its draft was posted.
