# See who shared an invitation link

`GET /api/invites/preview`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://www.toma.com`
- URL: `https://www.toma.com/api/invites/preview`
- Auth: none declared

Public preview of an opaque invitation link. Returns only the inviter's display name and the link token, never their email. Does not grant access. Invalid or revoked links return 404. Rate limited per IP. Legacy five-letter links require sign-in before lookup and are not accepted by the redemption API.

## Response `200`

The invitation's inviter.

  - `emailInvitationsOnly` boolean, required: No unreserved places remain; existing email invitations may still be accepted.

## Other responses

- `401`: Sign in to accept your invitation.
- `404`: The invitation is unavailable.
- `429`: Too many invitation checks.
