# Get a list of all reference assets

`GET /v2/reference-assets`

Use this endpoint to retrieve the reference assets available on the API.

A reference asset is the price reference that a tokenized asset tracks — a credit fund, an equity index, a commodity, a fiat currency, or a crypto asset. It is a finer-grained classification than `asset_type`: every tokenized fund shares one `asset_type`, but each tracks a different reference asset.

Use the `reference_asset_id` values returned here with the `reference_asset_ids` filter on `/v2/assets` and on the asset metrics breakdown endpoint.

## Response `200`

OK

  - `data` object[]
    - `reference_asset_id` string: Required input when filtering by reference asset.
    - `name` string: The reference asset's name.
    - `symbol` string: The reference asset's ticker symbol.
  - `total_count` integer: Total number of reference assets matching the filters, before `limit` and `offset` are applied.
