# Categories

`GET /api/v1/templates/categories`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.todoist.com`

List curated template categories. Authentication is not required.

## Query parameters

- `template_type` 'setup' | 'project' | 'all': Template type to categorize.
- `locale` string: Locale for category names and descriptions. Unsupported locales fall back to English.

  - `categories` ContentfulCategory[], required: Template categories in gallery display order.
    - `id` string, required: Category slug.
    - `name` string, required: Display name.
    - `description` string, nullable, required: Description. May be null when no description is available.
    - `seo` ContentfulSeo, required
      - `title` string, required: Display title.
      - `description` string, nullable, required: Description. May be null when no description is available.
