# Get Note Document Template

`GET /v1/external/note-document-templates/{templateId}`

Retrieve a specific note document template by ID.

Template details

- NoteDocumentTemplate: A template that defines the section structure for NoteDocuments. Either platform-managed (`isManaged: true`) or team-custom. Use this to pick or design the shape of a generated document. See [Data Model](/fundamentals/note-data-model).
  - `id` integer, required: Template ID
  - `title` string, required: Template title
  - `description` string, required: Template description
  - `sections` NoteDocumentTemplateSection[], required: Template sections
    - `id` integer, required: Section ID
    - `title` string, required: Section title
    - `sectionType` 'PLAIN_TEXT' | 'ACTION_ITEMS' | 'INFORMATIONAL_QNA' | 'EXAMPLE', required: Type of document template section
    - `userInstruction` string, required: User-provided instruction for this section
  - `favorite` boolean, required: Whether the template is favorited by the user
  - `isManaged` boolean, required: Whether the template is managed by the system
  - `isEditable` boolean, required: Whether the template is editable
  - `createdAt` string, date-time, required: Template creation timestamp
  - `lastUsedAt` string, date-time, nullable: Timestamp when the template was last used. Null if never used.

- `404`: Template not found
