# Update database password

`POST /spaces/{space_id}/databases/{database_ref}/password`

Resets the database password.

## Path parameters

- `space_id` string, required
- `database_ref` string, required

## Request body

- UpdatePasswordRequest — Request to reset the database password.
  - `password` string, required — New PostgreSQL password for the default user.

## Response `204`

Password updated
