# Set Thesis Activation

`PATCH /watchlists/{watchlist_id}/theses/{ticker}/activation`

## Request

Archive a thesis or select it for monitoring.

Standard Free atomically switches the one permanent company slot when only Company
theses are involved. During beta, activation fills any remaining temporary company
and context capacity; existing monitored choices are never silently replaced.
