# Set Password

`POST /auth/set-password`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.tickertrac.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.tickertrac.com/auth/set-password`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`

Give an account its first password. Replacing one goes through change-password.

This bridge once overwrote any password for any session, which would have made the
current-password check on change-password decorative. It now only fills a missing one.

  - `password` string, required
