# Cancel Fmu Export V1

`POST /v1/simulations/export/fmu/{job_id}/cancel`

Request cancellation of a running FMU export (ownership-guarded).

Cooperative: the worker stops at the next sweep chunk boundary and the job
terminates as ``failed`` with ``error_code: export_cancelled``. Cancelling
an already-terminal job changes nothing.

Successful Response

- FmuExportStatusResponse: The job resource: poll it, or stream ``.../stream`` for live progress. Read ``units_done``/``units_total`` for progress: they are weighted by expected cost and rise monotonically across the whole job. ``chunks_done``/``chunks_total`` are the CURRENT sampling phase's own counters and restart when the job moves to the next phase.
