# Create accounting period

`POST /v1/platform/accounting-periods/`

Create a new accounting period for a business.

        **Idempotency**: Returns existing period if one already exists for the specified year/month.
        **Required Fields**: business_id, year, month

- PeriodCreateRequest: Serializer for creating a new accounting period

  - `month` integer, required

## Other responses

- `400`: Validation errors in request data
