# Update Thredd Expiry Date

## Path parameters

- `publicToken` string, required

## Request body

- ExtendExpiryDateRequest: Request class for the Extend expiry date REST endpoint.
  - `newThreddExpiryDate` string, date-time, required: New Thredd-held expiry date for the card. Format YYYY-MM-DD.
  - `reason` string, nullable: The expiry date extension reason.
  - `updatedBy` string, nullable: Person who updated the expiry date.

## Response `200`

Success

- ExtendExpiryDateResponse: Api response for successful extension of expiry date
  - `NewThreddExpiryDate` string, date-time: New Thredd-held expiry date for the card.

- `400`: Bad Request
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Forbidden
- `404`: Not Found
- `500`: Server Error
