# Send SMS

`POST /api/v1/cards/{publicToken}/send-sms`

## Request

  - Client credentials

## Path parameters

- `publicToken` string, required

## Request body

- SendMessageRequest: Request to send a message to a card holder.
  - `phoneNumber` string, nullable: Optional destination number. If supplied will override the stored mobile number.
  - `smsText` string, nullable: Optional message to be sent which may contain placeholders for data substitution.
  - `amount` number, double, nullable: Amount of transaction.

## Response `200`

Success

- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Forbidden
- `404`: Not Found
- `500`: Server Error
