# Retrieve access token

`POST /connect/token`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://oauthuat.globalprocessing.net`
- URL: `https://oauthuat.globalprocessing.net/connect/token`

Generate an OAuth Access token to enable access to our systems

## Request body `application/x-www-form-urlencoded`

- TokenRequest
  - `client_id` string: The Client ID that is used in token generation.
  - `client_secret` string: The Client secret that is used in token generation.
  - `grant_type` 'client_credentials': The grant type required for the token.

## Response `200`

Token successfully returned

- TokenResponse
  - `access_token` string: The new token returned it the response
  - `expires_in` integer: The amount of time before the returned token expires, measures in seconds
  - `token_type` string: The corresponding type for the token.
  - `scope` string: The corresponding scopes associated with the token.
