# Activate Trial

`POST /billing/trial/activate`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.threadchain.pro` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

- Auth: OAuth 2
  - Password
  - Token URL: `auth/token`

Start a Stripe-backed trial for the plan the user chose.

Returns a Checkout URL (mode="subscription", subscription_data.
trial_period_days=settings.trial_duration_days, payment_method_collection
="always") — the card is collected up front and Stripe auto-bills the
same plan when the trial ends. The org/Subscription trial fields are set
by the Stripe webhook once checkout completes, not here.

## Request body

- ActivateTrialRequest: Request to activate a trial subscription
  - `trial_plan_id` string, uuid, required
  - `success_url` string, nullable
  - `cancel_url` string, nullable

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- CreateSubscriptionResponse: Response after creating subscription checkout session
  - `checkout_url` string, required
  - `session_id` string, required
